Heart

The heart knows things before the head
What you want to ignore but it’s already said
If you don’t listen, if you don’t hear
The heart yells louder, to your eye brings a tear
What right do you have to shake my whole being
What reason you say, to do the brain’s seeing
Go away heart, stop yelling at me
My eyes see what I want it to be
I will not see
I will not feel
I will not blow the whole damn deal
So, go away heart and listen to me
I’m hiding in here and here, I’ll remain
You’re yelling at me
But your voice is in vain
If I listen to you we’ll both feel pain
I won’t feel with my heart
What I ignore with my brain
